Hotel Syracuse
In addition to the historic preservation of iconic spaces, the Marriott Syracuse Downtown received entirely new and highly efficient HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical infrastructure including a central water-source heat pump HVAC system, central domestic high efficiency water heating system, high efficiency lighting, a new electrical service with emergency generator backup, a high-tech conference center with loads of information technology, an intelligent hotel system with electronic key access card systems. Additionally, the hotel design included many green design features to be installed in the future, such as solar thermal heating, photovoltaic electric generation, microturbine-based cogeneration and a geothermal system connected to the Syracuse brine aquifer.
